For the past few years, I have been participating in all the fun bloggy Christmas events like Christmas Card Carousel and Christmas Tour of Homes. But this year I just wasn't able to get it together in time. Maybe I will be able to show a little bit of our Christmas decorating later, but I did want to show our Christmas card from this year. We weren't able to get everyone together for a family picture, so I just used pictures from the whole year.
I wish I could send one to every single one of my blog friends. I think Christmas cards are probably one of my very favorite parts of Christmas and I LOVE receiving them each year. So, here is our card and it comes with lots of warm wishes to you for a VERY Merry Christmas!
So...how is your Christmas season going? I hope you are able to slow down and enjoy it. I told you how busy ours was going to be and it has definitely lived up to everything I thought it would be.
Laura and Lindy got home last week. I was so glad they made it safely! Laura was pretty much stuck up in Boone because it was snowing so much. But the snow finally stopped long enough for her to dig out and drive home. Here she is right after she walked through the door. I added the snow! (haha)
I was hoping we would get some snow here. All we ever seem to get in Charlotte is cold rain!
I had my class Christmas party on Friday. My kids were so cute. They were so excited about the party and had a great time! I love them.
Friday night we had an early Christmas at Steve's parents' house. They are going to Arizona this year to visit Steve's sister so they won't be here on Christmas. We had a lot of fun eating buffalo chicken dip and shrimp cocktail and oreo balls and lots of other yummy Christmas stuff. And we opened our presents from each other. Mark was our Santa this year.
I felt so bad for Ashley, though. She started feeling bad while we were there, and before the night was over, she was in the middle of a full blown stomach bug and John had to take her home. She was sick all night! Yuck!!
I got lots of Christmas shopping done yesterday. Now I just need to start doing some wrapping. I sent Steve out today to do a few last minute things for me and then I think I will just about be done.
Unfortunately I have to work until Tuesday. I can't remember another Christmas where we have gotten out so late. I wish we had more days before Christmas to do fun things!
And two more quick things...
1-Aren't these candybar wrappers cute!?
You can find them here.
2-Ashley showed me this today and I thought it was interesting. This is how Jesus' birth might have been if it had happened in today's digital world! :)
