Decisions, Decisions...

Busy Monday...

Today was our Challenge Run at school. The kids have to run for 10 minutes and see how far they can go. They did such an awesome job. Afterwards, we took this picture of the whole class on the playground. I'm in there on the right. :)

This picture is really small!

I had a long meeting after school, then came home and tried to get a few things done here.

We've been doing lots of roommate searching this week. Laura and Lindy have finally decided where they want to go to school. Laura is going to Appalacian State University

and Lindy is going to East Carolina University.

Now the roommate search is on. I can't believe how much easier it is now thanks to Facebook!! You can find someone who has all your same interests and beliefs just by searching on the college groups. Steve and I were laughing that it is kind of like e-Harmony or some dating service in a way. :)

Steve actually joined Facebook today! I know we are a little behind the times. I have been thinking about joining, but I am still deciding. I'll let you know if I do! If you are on it, tell me what you like about it!

  1. Betsy you look so cute standing their with your kiddo. You just blend right in.

I'm glad the girls have figured out where they want to go to school next year. But I will say I got a little sad thinking they wouldn't be together. Isn't that silly of me, I don't even know you guys, but it still makes me sad.

Facebook is awesome. I've been on it for a couple of months now. I have reconnected to people from school that I haven't talked to or heard from in years. Plus with my job, when I'm out of town I can get on FB on my overnights and it seems like if someone is sick or dies I know about it quicker. I didn't mean for that to sound morbid. Anyhow, I will tell you this. It is even more addicting than blogging. I have really put my blog on the back burner since I been on FB. Hope this helps you decide.

  2. (So that's what's distracted little Ms. Becky!!)

I loved the photo of you with your kids. I cannot imagine a day in your shoes though.

I have to admit, I felt the same way Becky did about the girls going to different schools. I think I quizzed you on that in a comment previously. Your life is certainly about to take another change, isn't it?

I'm on FB, but don't get on that often. I get updates on my phone, so unless my phone updates, I don't get out there to check often. I do love being able to find people I haven't seen or heard from in years.

  3. Betsy,
So great that they girls know where they'll be attending school, but oh the roommate search. I'm sure that is a tough one.

I am on facebook, but I don't really get it to be honest, but I try. I'm on it because Dak is on it.

    Have a Blessed day,

PS my word verification is grades ~~ how funny is that ~~ are you grading my comments? =)

  4. Your girls seem inseparable...I guess I just envisioned them going the same school! Are they excited about being apart, or nervous, or both??? ;)

I love Facebook, Betsy. I've found so many long lost friends on there. It's been a blessing for me!

I love that pic of your class! I'm the yearbook coordinator at the girls' elementary school and I wish I had a pic like that of every class at our school!!!!

  5. I LOVE the picture of you and your class! Too cute!

I am so glad the girls have decided where to go - that's a big decision and now that it's out of the way they get to the fun making-plans and dreaming part! :-) I know it has to be bitter-sweet to you though! I can't imagine.

About facebook. I recently joined. I am not nearly as "active" or "adicted" as others, but it's fun to pop on every couple of days and see what people are up to. I have caught up with several old high school friends, and that is always fun! Let me know if you join, I'll "friend" you, lol. :-)

  6. Wow!!! Your kids are awesome :)!!!

I am so happy that the girls decided where to go. I think I envisioned them going to the same college, but this will be a new and exciting adventure for them :)!

Facebook actually came out when I was in college. While I am not addicted to it as I once was, it is a great way to keep up with family and friends :)!

  7. I graduated from Appalachian State. Just about everyone in my immediate and extended family has. It is a wonderful school. The campus is beautiful and the people are super nice. And we have a great football team!

  8. I've been thinking about joining FB. Kinda busy. I imagine it's an exciting time in your life.

  9. I don't really know you guys, but I'm sad that the girls will not be roomies in college. I know that because they are twins, it doesn't mean they have the same interests, just hate to see them separated! I'm sure they will make you proud!

I am also addicted to Facebook. The thing I love is seeing pictures....of friends out of town....and family out of town.

  10. You are so cute ! What a big class you have how fun!
How exciting for the girls hope they find awesome roommates thank goodness for facebook eh! I kind of thought they would go to the same school too it will be fun for them. Have a great day!

  11. Your class looks so cute!!
I'm so excited for you guys that your girls decided on colleges and are searching for roommates. They are going to have so much fun!
Facebook is awesome. What I love about it the best is that I get to stay in contact with 100s of people from my past that I wouldn't otherwise be able to. I can see photos of their families, see where they live and what they are up to. It's so easy to send messages back and forth to each other as well. I hardly ever use my email anymore. Just send a quick message through facebook.
Let me know if you join and I'll ask you to be my friend...I do believe your parents are on facebook...

  12. I left something for you on my blog today :)

Thank you so much for leaving me a comment! I love reading them all! :)
