You've Got To Be Kidding!!

Today I got up early and went back to school to work on my room. I moved everything yesterday, but nothing was organized or set up, so I spent the whole day today moving things around, putting things away, and trying to organize.

Then...after the whole day of doing that, you'll never believe what happened! They told me that I was in the WRONG TRAILER!!!!!!!!! What??????!!!!!

My principal had accidentally told me the wrong trailer when she talked to me on the phone and since she wasn't there yesterday, she didn't realize it until late today!!!

Okay...this is where I just about broke down crying. Around 3:00, I just packed up my purse and my phone and my Chick-Fil-A drink and just drove home and tried to forget about everything until next week. I can't get into my new trailer because it was just delivered and they still have to wax the floors and get it inspected.

Not a fun day.

But, I put it all in perspective when I read Kelly's blog from today. She had the interview from Good Morning America with Steven Curtis Chapman (his first since losing his sweet little girl).

I think it's time for me to stop complaining now!

  1. Sorry to hear about your day :( Maybe tomorrow will be better. I watched the interview on GMA with the Chapman's and it was heart wrenching. They are a strong family with a strong christian faith and when something like this happens God always has a way of making the hurt just a little easier everyday.

  2. Oh my goodness. I am so sorry for you, but you are right. I have been wollering in self pity all week, because my son has forgotten he has a mother *(refer to the blog and you can read all about it)

..but you know what? I'm just so thankful I have a son.

  3. Sorry you had a rough day!

I caught part of the Chapman family on Larry King tonight. It was truly an inspiration to see how God is working in all of their lives despite this tragedy that they all have gone through. His son said that they played a recent show and he played the Cinderella song and changed the last line of the song from I know she'll be gone to the I know dance will go on, because he knows he will see her again one day and dance with her in Heaven.

  4. Oh Betsy, bless your heart. You worked so hard and thought you was getting a head start, but then, perspective, truly. Thank you for adding that last part. I really need to be on the perspective train right now as well. I watched this on Kelly's blog last night, it so touched my heart.

    Blessings to you, Dawn

  5. I watched the GMA interview on Kelly's blog yesterday and was so moved. I have been worried about the family and the son in particular because I was afraid he might have a hard time. I am happy to see that the family is doing their best to support him.

I know it was frustrating to move all of your things into one room and then have to move them again. I bet you will be glad to have that behind you!

I hope you have a nice weekend!

  6. OH NO!!! You are such a wonderful woman to have such a positive outlook on everything ;)! I hope that the transition into the new trailer will go well!

  7. Oh Betsy I am just praying that this confussion and chaos is only for now and that the Lord will let the entire school year be smooth and just wonderful. Before I even read you post....i just knew what it was going to me from the title.....oh the life of a school teacher....hang in there friend! love you

  8. Bless your heart - I don't blame you for being upset!
Sometimes we do just need a little perspective when we think we have it rough, huh? ;-)

  9. What a mess!! Yikes! I hope they can get it figured out. Hopefully they can get someone to help you move your stuff...again! Hang out with that cute husband of yours and relax on your porch before it all begins again!

  10. Oh, no. I'm sorry this move is becoming so challenging.
I watched the clip on Kelly's blog also and it just broke my heart. I have a 5 year old that's been driving me crazy lately, but THANK GOD he's here driving me crazy.

  11. Oh, I am so sorry that happened to you! I hope that you are having a better day today.
Try to get some good rest this weekend and you'll be ready to tackle it again on Monday! You'll probably have even more good ideas for setting up your room before then!
I hope you have a wonderful weekend!

  12. OH MY GOODNESS! I would have been SOOOO frustrated if that had happened to me! I am so sorry! I hope your principal has someone help you move all of that stuff since you have to move again. I'll be thinking of you!

  13. Even though you have such a good attitude... I still feel bad for you! But, I know it will all work out. I watched the interview on Kelly's blog too and was so moved by their faith and their support for each other as a family. YOU have that kind of family!!

  14. I couldn't watch that interview because I was crying so hard. What an amazing family.

I'm sorry you had a bad day!

Thank you so much for leaving me a comment! I love reading them all! :)
